Board Game Concept : TITANOMACHY

Working on Board Game Concept is actually fun, the whole brain storming, merging backgrounds,plots, and two stories can really make things work.

Today i was assigned to work on a Board Game Concept as one of my final project to be presented to the jury, so i was given the theme of Greek Mythology. Which struck me in the beginning, but then i started to think how about merging two classes. Believe me we were given just 2 & a half hours to conceptualize a board game and do a power point presentation on it.

So as i looked around,people all stuck up with creating a strategic board game, i thought why do the same thing as everyone else There were some brilliant ideas, really good ones, but i opted to do something different from all of them.

So i brought it down to merging the Olympians & the Titans as two different Clans in a game concept.

2 rival clans race on a track to prove to be the best.

i implemented single player mode as well as multiplayer . The multiplayer is pretty interesting as its Clan wars : Olympians Vs Titans, 4 players each clan battle to be the best by eliminating rival clan members. Players have power up cards to use in single player as well as multiplayer, but an additional perk in multiplayer mode is that the players of the same clan can revive a clan member or supply packages.

Live Game Concept : Murder Party

Devito's Murder Party is a live game concept which was a group project, created by my team & me back in college, @ DSK Supinfocom.

This game was based on the theme of Mafia. This is a one-time based game, where the same set of players cannot play again. It ranges from four to five hours of game play. Every player playing the game plays as a real character.
A murder has been taken place in the game, the players have to acquire clues and objects in order to get to the murderer. The Game is conducted by a Game Master who knows everything about the game, the Game Master decides who the winner is depending upon the clues and objects every player acquires. Who ever gets closest to the Murderer or who ever gets 'The Ultimate Clue' wins the game.

NASSCOM : Game Developers Conference

The NASSCOM : Game Developers Conference was an absolutely amazing experience. Met such great personalities out there such as Mark Skaggs, Robin Alter, Yasuhiro Fukushima and many more. Apart from meeting these personalities, the seminars held by various other professionals were very informative. There were several workshops that were being held in the ballrooms of Hyatt, Pune which were productive, constructive & very knowledgeable. 


BYOG : Build your own game, was the most catchy element about the conference.


Couple of my colleagues competed and the team from our class outclassed the others and took away the title.

The Omega-Cam

After having witnessed the longest Lunar Eclipse till date,i wondered what they actually used to click photographs of Moons,Planets,Stars,basically the Galaxy.
Was browsing over Gizmodo.com and it came to my notice was this :-

"Space photography requires a camera—a really big camera. One with 32 CCD sensors that snaps pictures at a mind-bending 268-megapixel resolution. Go ahead, you can call it the OmegaCam.

You may want to take this one home with you, but you can't. It weighs a whopping 1700lbs and produces about 30TBs of data per year. It's also the camera portion of the VLT Survey Telescope (VST), which is the world's largest telescope designed to operate in visible light. Being Accepted!

The feeling of being accepted into the college you always wanted to study at is simply magnificent! I am sure many of you know what it feels like to get  accepted into your dream college,likewise its for me.

this early afternoon,i get a call from my counsellor asking me about how did i do in my entrance exam,my reply was a "good,ma'am",she asks me "sure?" and i said "yes ma'am affirmative!".Then she asked me how was my personal interview with the jury,where i had to present my portfolio,and again i replied saying "it was good ma'am !"
she paused and asked me again,"are you sure?" and i said "i'am guessing they had liked my work as they seemed happy with it"

she asked me to cross my fingers,and said YES !!! u made it through in the TOP 10 !!! and that just made me give out a sigh of relief !! that feeling was just amazing !!! Priceless ! :)

well thats about me being accepted at DSK SUPINFOCOM,one of the best days of my life.

ZAPAK'D !!!

Zapak GAMEPLEX !!! this is like my second home,this is exactly the place where competing with people all over the country and various other places took off.Earlier gaming at a usual Cafe around my locality wasn't all that exciting,but since this Gameplex came up,my friends n i would just be located at one of Zapak's Gameplex around the city.

This was the place where i competed in Counter Strike Clan-Wars,where clans from all over India had come for the showdown.
It would be quite an experience as i would meet new gamers every time a tournament would be around the corner,these tournaments has some real good prize money,which we couldn't bag but tried for it every year ! :)

Apart from Counter-Strike,Need for Speed Carbon was another craze! Need for Speed is like an addiction,playing on Need for Speed : World,against other racers from around the world is epic.
Playing against bots n the computer is an easy task,but competing against another human racer is a complete different thing!
Beating a bot makes u happy,but racing against other players around the globe can really show where you actually stand.

So Gaming is what i love doing and will do it all the way!,what about you?
